This webcam is an excellent idea and should assist the police to track down any unpleasant activity - subject to all the images being recorded - otherwise what is the purpose of it?

The webcam I think it is a great way for people to see the places they love when they are far away from home!
one example of what purpose it serves is this. I live in Barnsley and Im going camping to skegness today. Its hammering down with rain in Barnsley but I can see from this webcam that it isnt in Skegness, so im still going.
The webcam is great, I have a look on here quite often to see what the weather is like, how many people are there and to cheer me up when I’m feeling down. We holiday in Skegness every year staying at the Richmond Holiday Centre and will be back there on 26th August 2008, everything on site and along with Butlins, Ingoldmels, Fantasy Island & Chapel St Leonards to name but a few that part of the English coast line realy does deserve the name ‘Funcoast’

Live webcams like this one are brilliant; we have a caravan at Ingoldmells and really enjoy our time there so it’s nice to see what’s happening in Skeggy. Equally we love to holiday in Benidorm where they too have live webcams and although the two resorts are miles apart in every sense, each has its own special appeal. Whether it’s Valencia or Lincolnshire we love em both, the people are friendly and the drinks are chilled, what more could you ask.Well done Skegness.

Good old Skeggy. Bought a new res caravan this year to replace my old one. Its nice to remind yourself that Skeggy is not far away by looking through the webcam. Shame there aren’t more webcams all over the town. Rock on Skeggy !!!

I think if its for the public to see then it should have been mounted in a better place higher up so it could pan around and see more of Skegness. Don’t think its very intresting where it has been placed at the moment, but who knows it might help to stop vandalism. But then again there’s not a lot to vandalise on this part of the sea front and its very well lit.
skeggy has the best chips ever,espesily at tonys near the clock tower.

I’m sure most people reading these comments will be able to judge what’s reasonable and what’s unreasonable, Anthony, I’m mainly concerned about the language.
yeah well sorry to all about the language but i dont like being victimised just because i go skegness and like going to skegness, i know it wasnt me in particular who was being victimised but thats even worse every one who go’s and likes going skegness is being victimised, the language was uncalled for but people you can understand why.

I was just flicking through the pages here, reading other people comments, and to be perfectly honest i think that ” Bill Clampit”s comments are really shocking, Personally i think that there is nothing at all wrong with good ole Skeggy, it has always got something for EVERYONE come rain or shine, kids and adults alike, Like my husband i work extremely hard to lead a half decent life. I live in a city that is more multi cultural than anywhere else in the uk,so comments aside about our foreign visitors eh, and although i could quite easily take my family abroad i chose to buy a static caravan in a quite corner of skegness… what is wrong with this man? i realise that everyone are entitled to freely air their veiws, but why does he have to label people unfairly. i dont suppose he would like to be labelled as a typical loud mouthed brit in greece or spain or as an ignorant tight non sical idiot in america or maybe he should fly out to the likes of Turkey where they think most brits are so called “chavs” who drink, shout, swear do drugs etc. all i can say to him and others like him, I will stick up for skegness and will keep going to this wonderful place year after year, maybe next time he would have the guts to go to the Ship and meet some of the folk that drink there and tell them what he thinks of them!!!! get a life !!! ….regards.
