After the announcement of the end of World War 2 many streets in England celebrated by holding Street Parties.

Skegness Illuminations Switch On 2006
East Lindsey District Council proudly presented the Grand Switch On of the Skegness Illuminations this evening.
And rightly so!
The whole evening was an absolutely fabulous success for Skegness!
