The School of Cookery, 28 Lumley Road, Skegness went up for sale by auction in 1959, by direction of the Executrix of Lucy Ann Drury deceased.
The auction took place at the Lumley Hotel. George Dunkley and Son were the chartered auctioneers.

A ghostly brown figure has been seen by four people on two different occasions, haunting Skegness Grammar School.

The following is an advertisement placed in the the Skegness, Mablethorpe and Alford News in 1918. I have included the advert because it tells us that the Essendon School, situate in what is now the Masonic Hall, Rutland Road, Skegness, has moved to Scotland.

The ‘village school’ is listed as being on County Bank in 1841. The building has since been demolished (sometime before 1932) but was situated opposite the Methodist church (now the Old Church second-hand shop) on Roman Bank.
