Clearance work has now begun on the Skegness seafront site almost two years after it was destoyed by fire.
Victorian buildings, built pre 1879 and forming what was initally known as Frederica Terrace, later the Parade Complex, had to be demolished after they were gutted by the Skegness Fire in August 2007.

The Skegness Fellowship of Christian Churches celebrated Easter by holding a Good Friday parade. The parade began at St Matthew’s Church in Skegness, marching down to Roman Bank, along Lumley Road and around the Clock Tower before finishing outside Hildred’s shopping centre for a open air service.

Skegness held a Grand Party today to celebrate the re-opening of Grand Parade after the Skegness Fire.
And what a grand party it was!
Crowds gathered around the Clock Tower and on Grand Parade.
The procession made its way along Tower Esplanade, round the Clock Tower and into Grand Parade.
