FORTY-TWO donkeys escaped from a field on William Way, Skegness, in June 1999, bringing traffic in the town to a standstill.

At a council meeting, Mr Henry Canning complained of donkeys causing great annoyance at night in different parts of the town.
Mr Kirkby said there were a lot of donkeys here from Cleethorpes.
