Skegness Carnival Pet Show 2009

The Skegness Carnival Queen and Princesses competition took place this evening at the Suncastle, Skegness.
The panel of judges chose Miss Bryony Hawkesford, aged 15, of Skegness (centre in the picture) as Skegness Carnival Queen 2009, amongst some tough competition.

Carnival Week in Skegness kicked off on Sunday 10th August with the Carnival Parade Procession.
This year’s theme is ‘Music’ and floats assembled in the Wainfleet Road Playing Fields ready for a 2.30pm set off. The Parade progressed from the playing field eventually ending up at the North Parade (X-site) pullover.

Royalty was crowned when the new Skegness carnival queen, princess and rosebud were chosen this evening and young hopefuls aimed to catch the judges’ eyes in the competition held at the Suncastle, North Parade, Skegness.
