Skegness Couple Jailed
The trial of Maisie Violet Walters (pictured left), 24 of North Shore Road, Skegness, for the murder of her three-year-old daughter, Jacqueline Carol Walters, at Amber Hill, near Boston, took place at Lincolnshire Assises in 1953.

A shocking wife murder was committed in the Boston district on Monday evening. A plate-layer named Root, and his wife, residing at the Gatehouse, Sibsey High Ferry, quarrelled on Friday last, and Root threw the woman out of the house. Seabank Marathon 2007
The annual Seabank Marathon took place today, Sunday 10th June 2007.
Runners were on their marks at Skegness lifeboat station on Tower Esplanade and the Mayor of Skegness officially started the race at 8.50am.
The race finished at Boston College, Skirbeck Road, Boston, and was in aid of Macmillan Cancer Relief.
