Cows on line bring station to a halt
THE Skegness railway station was closed to the public and train services were disrupted after two cows strayed on to the lines last week.
The cows, pictured behind a buffer at the station, were destroyed by a marksman.

Our short clip of Raymond Baxter was taken at East Kirkby Aviation Museum in 2005, less than one year before he passed away.

This film of a 103-year-old Skegness lady was shot at the Skegness Working Men’s Club, Briar Way, Skegness, most likely in 2006. Unfortunately, I can’t recall the lady’s name. The interviewer addresses her as Mrs Louch?

The Skegness Christmas Lights switch on in 2005 was taken with an analogue video camcorder, and was one of our earlier videos when we first began Skegness News and Events on Video in 2005.
Lincs FM presenter, John Marshall was special guest for the occassion, leading the crowd through the Countdown.

The Avro Lancaster Bomber NX611 ‘Just Jane’, often treats spectators to a taxi run at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Museum at East Kirkby near Spilsby.
The pilot of the Lancaster on this occasion was ‘Jacko’ Jackson from Blackpool.
He is pictured below in the cockpit preparing for ‘takeoff’.
The pilot fires up the Merlin engines one by one.
