Skegness Family on Tiswas

Tiswas family in a lather

LITTLE Lisa Taylor wasn’t too impressed when she starred on Tiswas — especially when her mum got shaving cream in her mouth!

Nine-year-old Lisa, who lives in Lancaster Avenue, Skegness, was taking part in the Saturday morning programme’s Flan Your Folks game.

Her mum, Mrs Sandy Taylor had to wear a sign marked “right” and her dad, a sign marked “wrong.” Lisa had to answer a string of questions and depending on whether she gave a right or wrong answer, one of her parents were “flannel.” And Lisa is a bright little girl — so her mum had quite an ordeal. And it just so happened that Mrs Neave was enjoying herself very much — lethal in a planning session because most of the shaving cream went straight into her mouth.

Mrs Taylor, 30, who works at Kim’s hairdressing salon, got so much shaving cream down her throat that presenter Chris Tarrant was quite worried about her.

Lisa was so upset that at first she wouldn’t accept her prizes but her dad — 31-year-old Mr Neave Taylor — persuaded her in the end that the cream in her mum’s mouth was not quite as bad as having a bar of soap in her throat.

Lisa came home with the game Alleycats, a toy lion, two footballs, her mum’s “right” sign and a space hopper.

Programme writer Mr Neville Gurnhill knows Mrs Taylor very well: she cuts his hair at the salon. Lisa watches Tiswas every Saturday, and so her mum asked Mr Gurnhill if he could fix something up and he did!
