Skeleton Mystery
A SKELETON MYSTERY
FOUND ONE FOOT BELOW SURFACE WITH RUSTY WEAPON
While excavating for gravel near Ruskington Station, Lincs., on The Great Northern and Great Eastern Joint Railway, workmen discovered a perfect human skeleton a foot below the surface.
An attempt was made to get it out intact but when touched, the remains crumbled to pieces.
By its side was found what appeared to be a knife or dagger, but corrosion had so eaten away all marks that identification was impoissible.
Other bones were found near the spot.
