Airship Over Skegness

Airship Over Skegness
As the crowd was leaving the Lawn Theatre on Saturday, after witnessing “The Prince’s Tour Round the World,” they had another attraction in view of an airship moving [hidepost] gently through the air just a few hundred feet abouve their heads.
The airship circled around the town, and the noise from the propellor brought hundreds of people outside their houses to witness it.
The gas bag loomed up against the stars and was quite discernable and the lights on the gondolas permitted the flight to be easily followed by the eye.
Coming up against the wind the airship only made slow progress, but directly she changed her direction her pace was easily trebled.
Many avert that an aeroplane also visited and manoeuvred over the town about 9.30.
The special constables were not called out not did we hear any shouting about lights out!
