Jolly's Impression of Humpty Dumpty
A rare Jolly Fisherman figurine has been left shattered after a bid to return the mascot to its hometown in Skegness went horribly wrong.

The Jolly Fisherman figurine, which was made by Skegness Pottery, Burgh Road, in 1977 to celebrate Skegness’ Centenary, 1877-1977, was offered for auction on the internet and WE placed the winning bid on it.
We were very excited that at last Jolly would be back home in Skegness where he belongs. He would have been added to our collection of Skegness memorabilia which is earmarked for the Skegness Museum, if one ever transpires.
We eagerly unpacked the parcel which was delivered this morning, and were horrified at our gruesome find – Jolly was competely broken off his plinth except for half a leg, and his pipe had been snapped off.
Here’s how he should have looked:
So now Jolly is lying in his hospital bed, doing an exceedingly good impression of Humpty-Dumpty, until we can find ‘all the kings horses and all the kings men’ (or if that fails, a local antique porcelain repairer) who can ‘put Jolly together again’!

HELP!!

What a great shame.
I do hope that it can be restored for future display
