Organiser, Carla Whitely (in the teddy fancy dress in our picture), who owns the Name Factory, High Street, Skegness, is keen to support cancer research as it is a charity close to her heart – she lost one of her grandmothers to the disease some years ago and her other grandmother, who is 90 years of age, has battled with cancer twice in her life. She said “Cancer has touched most people’s lives – either in their own families or they know someone who it has affected.”

Carla has raised money in the past for the charity by conquering the Great Wall of China in 2007, and she plans to do the Inca Trail in November of this year, which entails climbing to a height of around 4,900. Click the picture below for more information about the Inca Trail.
