Skegness Girl Marries Petula Clark's Brother
International 60s singing star, Pet Clark, couldn’t make it when her brother married his Skegness bride at St Matthew’s Church, Skegness in September of 1966. So she paid for their honeymoon in Palma instead.
Skegness girl, Christina Clark was 21 when she married Petula’s brother, Malcolm McLaren, who she met when he was working in Skegness. The couple met through the Skegness Young Conservatives Club and got engaged on Christmas Day, 1964.
Christina Clark, who lived with her parents Mr and Mrs Arthur Clark, at 37 Lumley Crescent, met her future sister-in-law for the first time just one week after their engagement was announced.
Malcolm worked in Skegness for 18 months before moving to the public relations department of a London company.
