Car park attendants to double as customer information points
CAR PARKING Attendants in East Lindsey are to be more visible and will be wearing high visibility clothing, as the District Council launches a plan that sees them double up as information points for local people and visitors to our towns.
As well as their usual duties of ensuring motorists have the correct parking tickets, the Council is encouraging people to use them for their local knowledge of the area.
Parking Supervisor Stuart Dawson explained: “People think being a car park attendant is all about issuing tickets but it isn’t. It’s about providing a service to customers. “From now on we’re going to be out and about much more in all our car parks. All we ask is that people using our car parks put the correct money in the meter. The attendants are all friendly people who are available to provide advice. When you see us out and about feel free to pop over and ask questions and we’ll do our best to answer them.”
