Hospital Vigorously Shelled
Lieut. Eggleston Wounded
News has come to hand of the serious condition of Lieut. Eggleston, only son of Mr and Mrs A J Eggleston, who was wounded a short time ago in the arm and shoulder. Whilst lying in the hospital, we understand, it was vigorously shelled, and the removal of the patients caused considerable anxiety to the hospital staff.
His condition through this cause became critical, and Mr and Mrs Eggleston, we understand, crossed the water last Sunday to visit him. We trust the gallant young fellow’s condition may not be as serious as appearances attribute and trust he will speedily recover.
