The following is an advertisement placed in the the Skegness, Mablethorpe and Alford News in 1918.  I have included the advert because it tells us that the Essendon School, situate in what is now the Masonic Hall, Rutland Road, Skegness, has moved to Scotland.

Messers Mackinder & Bennett (acting for George Ball in H M Forces) favoured witrh instructions from Miss Pagan, MA (owing to the Essendon School having been transferred to Scotland), will Sell by Auction, at the Pavilion, Pleasure Gardens, Skegness, on Thursday, August 8th, 1918, Surplus Household furniture and effects.
These will include the following:
Kneehole writing desk
Music cabinets
Oak Dinner Wagon
Overmantel
Dumb piano
Combination dressing chests
Oak coffer
Painted wardrobe
Bedding
Ottoman etc
