Can YOU help identify this mystery woman?

We have been fortunate enough for this old studio portrait photograph to have been added to our collection, but sadly we know very little about the lady in the picture.

Her name is “Rose Stilling of Skegness”, as written on the back of the photo, and the photographer appears to be a Miss M Horton of Douglas, Isle of Mann.

Despite searching the censuses and the Births, Marriages and Deaths register, I have up to now failed to locate our Rose.

Perhaps she was a Skegness woman who had her portrait taken whislt holidaying in the Isle of Mann?

What decade do you think the picture was taken in?

How old is Rose in the photograph? She was obviously married as she is wearing a wedding ring.

Do YOU know the name Stilling in connection with Skegness?

One more clue – Rose had a niece named Gloria – we know this because written on the back of the postcard is “Sister of Gloria’s mother”.
