The opening of the annual Caterex Exhibition will be held on Wednesday, 4th February, 2009, at the Richmond Holiday Centre in Skegness. The Mayor and Mayoress of Skegness, Coun Neil Pimperton and Coun Rita Pimperton will declare the event open.

We hope to bring you some video footage of the event but meanwhile, let’s step back in time and look at past Caterex Exhibitions.

Caterex Exhibition Skegness 2006

Skegness Hoteliers Association presented the Caterex Exibition 2006 recently. The event was hosted by the Richmond Holiday Centre in Skegness, and was said to be the biggest yet!
Caterex is an annual exhibition where local businesses like hotels, restaurants etc can see the latest equipment and food supplies which are available.There were more that 70 stalls displaying everything the catering business needs, from furniture to peanuts.

The Town Cryer rings his bell to command attention to the opening ceremonies and announce the Mayor of Skegness, Councillor Brian O’Connor who opened the exhibition.

The organizer of the exhibition tells us more about Caterex in the video.

Lesley and Kevin Bedford of Bedford’s Fruit and Veg came second in the prize for the best food stall. Lesley said that it was the first time they had displayed in the exhibition and they were amazed to win second prize.
