The Marbles 60s Charts Skegness Pop Band

Who remembers The Marbles 1960s pop group? Or perhaps you remember their 1968 one-hit-wonder, ‘Only One Woman’? We’re sure you will when you play the video below!

The Marbles was a pop duo, Graham Bonnet (born Graham Bradley, 23rd December, 1947) and Trevor Gordon (born Trevor Gordon Grunnill, 5th May 1948), who were cousins.

Whilst both were born in Skegness, Lincolnshire, Uk, Graham stayed in Skegness and Trevor moved to Australia where he was befriended by the Bee Gees who wrote ‘Only One Woman’ for the duo. It reached Number 5 in the UK Singles Chart in November 1968. Their second single “The Walls Fell Down” became a flop in England, and reached only Number 28 in the same chart.

By 1969 the Marbles had split. While Gordon retired from the music industry, Bonnet started a lengthy solo career. From 1978 to 1980 he was the lead singer with Ritchie Blackmore’s ‘Rainbow’.
