Sun Castle Manageress Retires
SUN CASTLE MANAGERESS
EIGHTEEN YEARS’ SERVICE OF Mrs. HANSON
MANY TRIBUTES ON RETIREMENT
Manageress of the Sun Castle solarium at Skegness for the past eighteen years, Miss Margaret Hanson retired from that position on Saturday last, and many have been the tributes which have been paid to her from many sources during the past week.
The Sun Castle was first opened by Sir Leonard Hill, President of the Sunlight League, in 1933, and it was during the same year that Skegness Council had the great fortune to secure Mrs. Hanson to take over the management.
During the whole of the intervening period, she has provided a particularly personal touch and has more than anyone else to create the particularly delightful atmosphere which has so long been associated with that resort. Fittingly enough, she is being succeeded as manageress by her elder daughter, Mrs. Markham.
