PRINCESS MARY ACCEPTS GIFT from SKEGNESS GIRL
MISS KITTIE HOUGHTON, a clerk at the Skegness Farmers’ Dairy Company, has made a splendid wool black cat and sent it to Princess Mary as a gift to her son.
The following kind expression has been received by Miss Houghton:
The Lady in Waiting to the Princess Mary is desired by Her Royal Highness to write and thank Miss Kittie Houghton for the lucky black cat which she has made and sent.
The Princess does not as a rule accept gifts except from her personal friends and acquaintances, but she is willing to make an exception in this case as she much appreciates the kind thought that prompted the gift.
