The construction of the new water tower at Skegness is progressing, and the height of the structure thus far may be gauged by comparison with the old tower on the left.

It is not impossible that the latter will soon be dismantled and with its passing will disappear one of the most familiar landmarks in the neighbourhood of Skegness for a great number of years.

The new tower is of concrete, and is costing between £6,000 and £7,000. It will have a storage capacity of 200,000 gallons.
