RAY Clemence, Liverpool and England goalkeeper and daughter Sarah Jayne (14 weeks) complete a four generations family picture at Skegness on Saturday.
Holding the baby is Ray’s grandmother, Mrs Lucy Scott. She lives with her daughter — Ray’s mother Mrs Muriel Clemence — at 91 Hoylake Drive.
The occasion was Mrs Scott’s 91st birthday and Skegness-born Ray and wife Vera travelled over from Liverpool with their first child for the celebration.
Ray played for Skegness Youth Club, Lumley School and Skegness Town before moving to Notts County and Scunthorpe. He joined Liverpool five years ago. (Photo: Peter Robinson, Friskney).

  1. Wow, that brought back some memories. I was at infant school in Great Steeping. My dad used to be chef at the sands show bar where he met Ray Clemence. He told my dad that if his schedule allowed he would visit the my school. He never showed up that day, not that I was down hearted, I did get his autograph, and still have it.
