THE ROOF OF ST. MATTHEW’S CHURCH
The roof of the south aisle of St. Matthew’s Church has for some weeks past been in such a state as to render it dangerous for anyone to sit underneath it, and consequently this portion of the church has not been used.
The church wardens have now fixed wire netting to the rafters in this aisle to prevent any of the plaster falling, and the safety of sitting underneath is now secured.
