Call Lumley Road Skegness Boulevard!

Our familiar Lumley Road in Skegness very nearly became ‘Skegness Boulevard’.

Skegness’ Mr Dunkley said he would like to direct the attention of the council to one important matter. He was rather proud of the term ‘boulevard’ and he thought the Lumley Road might be so termed and used as such and that seats should be allowed to be placed at intervals between the tree guards so that tired visitors could sit down and rest. He thought that this would be a great advantage and a matter worthy of consideration of the council.
