SKEGNESS police were anxious in 1975 for information to help them find thieves who broke into a Winthorpe Church Hall, stole property and made themselves cups of tea.
Seathorne Methodist Church Hall was broken into on a summer’s day.
Thieves entered through the side door on the first floor and stole an old green suitcase measuring 30 inches by 24 by nine with a clasp fastening and a pink Smiths eight-day wall clock with a hand-painted white face and black numbers and hands.
While inside, the thieves made themselves cups of tea.
