At the North London Police Court, on Tuesday, Arthur John, Stone, who occupies a position of responsibility in the service of the London School Board, was charged with converting to his own use moneys received for the Skegness boating disaster fund, established in 1893, and of which defendant was appointed secretary.

Evidence of arrest having been given, the defendant was remanded, to enable the Public, Prosecutor to take up the case.

The total amount of Stone’s alleged defalcations is understood to be about £700.
