Update:30th September 2008 – Woman dies of flat fire injuries
Eye witness report…
Monday around 12.30 pm – Firefighters are fighting a fire at the flats adjoining Mary’s Guest House Cecil Avenue, Skegness.
The fire appeares to be in one of the upper rooms.
There appears to be casualties or a casualty, but it is not known as yet if they are seriously hurt.
Update: a woman is said to have been taken to Pilgrim Boston Hospital.
Update: a 33-year-old woman is reported as being severely burned.
Update: 18.45: The Ghandi Indian Restaurant, Roman Bank, Skegness have donated take-away meals to the fire investigators and other personel who are still at the scene of the fire. There are unconfirmed reports from neighbours on Cecil Avenue that the fire alarms at the flat did not go off.
