Child stuck inside Arcade Machine
A 3-year-old boy got trapped in a teddy-grabber arcade game after crawling through the ‘cat-flap’ where the toy is supposed to drop into, whilst holidaying in Skegness.
Little Christopher Air of Grangetown, Sunderland got so upset when he didn’t get a teddy, so when his mum’s back was turned for a split second, while she went to get some change to have another go, he decided to leave nothing to chance and crawled into the machine to grab one for himself!
Christopher’s ordeal lasted for half-an-hour, but ended in smiles as the arcade manager gave if a teddy after he’d opened the machine to free him.

We went along to one of the arcades in Skegness to investigate the type of machine that little Christopher crawled into. We found a ‘Monster Grabr’ outside Copperama Amusement Arcade and inspected the ‘cat-flap’. Sure enough, it was quite a large aperture, large enough for a small child to crawl into. Perhaps a change of name to ‘Child Grab’, or would little Christopher’s mum prefer to leave the name as it is…
