Defaced Memorial Stones Old Church Roman Bank Skegness
Well, we’ve passed the Old Second Hand Church on Roman Bank a million times now, but it’s the first time we’ve noticed this…
Someone has defaced the memorial stones on the church frontage by the screwing in of what appears to be wooden struts.
The memorial stones were integrated into the church walls to commemorate financial contributors to the erection of the church when it was first built in Victorian times. The building is now a privately-owned, second-hand furniture and bric-a-brac salesroom.
We think this is an horrendous disregard for the godly people of the past and a fickle way to treat historical artifacts!
