Where's Jolly Fisherman's Pipe?
What’s happened to Jolly’s pipe? It seems to have gone missing from the statue in Compass Gardens, Skegness. We took a glance back at our Easter picture of Jolly in the Snow and it was missing then.
Anyone know what’s happened to it? Guess it’s gracing someone’s mantlepiece somewhere!
But this is not the first time our Jolly Fisherman Statue has been vandalised – cast your mind back to August 2003. Do you remember the bottom picture?
No, Jolly’s not been drinking too much of his fountain water – he was knocked off his perch by vandals! But notice he still has his pipe!
