We’ve all heard of Sheffield Wednesday Football Club, but did you know that there was once a Skegness Thursday Football Club?
APRIL, 13th, 1949
SKEGNESS THURSDAY FC, with players, committeemen and a number of friends and supporters, form a happy group after their annual dinner at the Links Hotel, Seacroft.
The Club’s President, Mr. Tom Gurnham, and Chairman, Mr. Horace Dexter, are seated on the second row, and the large moustache partially hides the face of Mr Jack Postlethwaite, one of the club’s oldest officers. (Photo: Walfred Photographics, Ltd., Skegness).
