SKEGNESS’ BEACH INCIDENT
Boston child bitten by donkey
SIX-YEAR-OLD Diane Brackenbury, of 13, Botolph Street, Boston, was looking forward to a long bus ride to, Matlock on Sunday to see her grandmother.
But because only four people were booked to travel on the ‘bus the excursion was cancelled.
As consolation for her disappointment Mr. and Mrs. Brackenbury decided to take Diane to Skegness for the day.
Came a donkey ride on the sands and then just after she had dismounted a donkey bit her on her chest and leg.
She was at once taken in the Police Superintendent’s car to Skegness Hospital, and after treatment was given for shock and superficial injuries, she was able to return home.
