Schoolboy Injured in 30ft Fall from Roof
A Skegness schoolboy, Alan Waplington, of High Street, Skegness had a miraculous escape on
Monday, when- he fell through a roof of a building on to a con Crete floor about.. 30 feet beneath, without receiving fatal injuries.
He was playing in the Lawn Car Park, and climbed up the side of the corrugated iron aeroplane hanger, situated near to the Working Men’s flub. When he reached the top (about 30 feet high) the roof gave way, and he fell through to the concrete floor.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance, fully conscious, but suffering from severe shock.
It seems possible that he has suffered other injuries, but these have not been divulged by the hospital authorities, who described his condition on Tuesday as ” a slight improvement ement on Monday’s condition.
