An account of Friskney man Mark De’ath who had been fined for possessing cannabis resin. The case was heard at Skegness magistrates court.

Friskney man Mark De’ath has been fined for possessing cannabis resin.
The drug had been left in his car by someone else, the court was told.
De’ath, 18, of Burgh Road, admitted possessing the class B controlled drug. He was fined £150 and ordered to pay £50 costs.
Skegness magistrates ordered that the drugs be forfeited and destroyed.
Mr Nick Wyman, prosecuting, said that at about 2.25am on October 30, a police officer on mobile patrol on the A52 at Wainfleet saw a stationary car with lights on and engine running.
The officer saw De’ath inside the car, apparently asleep. The officer attracted his attention and as De’ath woke up he attempted to take something off the dashboard and hide it, said Mr Wyman.
De’ath handed over the substance, six grams of cannabis resin worth £25, to the officer, said My Wyman.
De’ath admitted the drug was in his possession but said that it had been left in his car by someone else.
He was a man of previous good character, the court heard. De’ath who was unrepresented, apologised for committing the offence.
