As Skegness was my birth place I was fascinated to read this article. Since being a small child I have fond memories of the Lion and really concerned to its whereabouts-my worst fear was that it had been destroyed. now we know its safe we should do all we can to bring it back to its rightful place.I find the persons responible for its "abduction" incredibly selfish.by the sounds of it they have actually stolen it. surely they sould be made accountable for their actions and made to return it? Please keep up with the campaign.WE WANT OUR LION BACK!

I want to thank the people on this site for their kind support and comments for the GET OUR LION BACK CAMPAIGN, Angie has fought hard to try and get our lion back, but unfortunatly she keeps coming up against a brick wall with the now owners of the lion, they dont seem to have any heart or sentiment for the skegness people who grew up with this wonderful stone beast for many years, and continue to make it known they are not willing to part with it.We need a strong campiagn stauch supporters people who really want to save this piece of skegness history.we need more articles in the local papers trips for people to photograph the lion, pleas going to the national trust, local heritage centres, let the owner know we not going to let this matter go away.but angie cant do this all on her own she needs the support from all of us who are fuming that this piece of sentimental sculpture has been taken away from it rightful place in skegness and is not standing proud like it has done for decades.

Well if Mr Kheng took the Lion after JD Weatherspoons had brought the place then he infact stole it, as it wouldnt have been his to take. So it should be returned if thats the case.

I do think the stone lion ought to be returned back to its former place were it once stood, as it was part of skegness it self. And i do think that it should never have been removed at all. As holiday makers loved this statue. And was loved by all. Please put it back to its original place were it belongs. As a replica just would not be the same. Lets see it back in its original place for all to see & enjoy it.
