Childrens Carnival Competitions
Written by Angela Gooch on August 16th, 2007 in Skegness Carnival.
Children’s competitions were held today in Skegness Tower Gardens as part of Skegness Carnival Week.
There were three competitions in all, Tiny Tots, Miss Seaside and SuperHeroes.
One of the winning entries was this ‘Sandcastle on Skegness Beach’.
The proud owner (pictured below with her work of art) told us she got the idea as she was looking at some family photos of a giant sandcastle which she built on Skegness beach last year.
She and mum began work on the giant sandcastle just yesterday and put lots of hard work into it. Mum told us it was made from a big cardboard box, cardboard tubes and sponges. The sandcastle was decorated with postcards of Skegness scenes, flags and a bucket and spade.
