The old foreshore centre [formerly Cafe Dansant] on Tower Esplanade, which has been badly in need of repair for some time, was demolished this week.
In its place will rise a new £5,600 information and first aid centre with offices and balcony abouve.
It will be in the same area but will take up less space.
Buily largely of wood with colourful panelling, the centre should be ready for use by the Spring Bank Holiday.
