Two days before the annual Lifeboat Day in Skegness, Mrs George Perrin [Grace] celebrated her 81st birthday. She is pictured here with her son, Wilfred Perrin, who has been coxswain of the Skegness lifeboat for 18 years, although this was his last Lifeboat Day as coxswain. Mrs Perrin, Grosvenor Road, Skegness, stood by the lifeboat on show on Tower Esplanade, all day on Saturday with her collecting box. Like her late husband, Mr George Perrin, coxswain of the Skegness lifeboat for 15 years, she likes to have strong connections with the Institution.
