WW1 WW2 British Military Photos

I was bequeathed these British Military photographs by my Great Aunt (Ada Webster nee Whitaker), but unfortunately there isn’t much information about them. If you can volunteer any details, dates, places etc, especially about the Viceroy of India or the VIP inspecting the troops (possibly the Queen Mother), I would be eternally grateful.

The list below is the captions to the photos in the slide show.

Military_Uniform_1899_12 This chappie is called Walter. He was born in 1873 so I’m assuming that this photograph was taken around 1899. Walter lived in Sheffield Yorkshire England UK. Anyone out there who knows what type of uniform he is wearing?
