Runners were on their marks at Skegness lifeboat station on Tower Esplanade and the Mayor of Skegness officially started the race at 8.50am.
The race finished at Boston College, Skirbeck Road, Boston, and was in aid of Macmillan Cancer Relief.

We were at the start of the Seabank Marathon when the starting gun fired.

We snapped some of the runners in Skegness before the 2007 Skegness Marathon began:

The Mayor of Skegness, Coun Ken Milner welcomed everyone to the 30th Seabank Marathon, wished everyone good luck and started the serious runners off, with a helping hand ..er..thumbs up from Jolly Fisherman.

The commentator gave the runners some useful basic advice - as you’re running, keep the sea on your LEFT - if it’s on your RIGHT, you’re heading back to Skegness!
