Batemans Brewery Owner Dies
George Bateman of Bateman’s Brewery in Wainfleet near Skegness, died on Monday at the age of 79.

He was a well known and respected figure in the town. He joined his father, Harry Bateman in the brewery business in the 1950s.
Bateman’s Brewery, renowned thoughout the world, was founded in Wainfleet in 1874 by Mr George Bateman and taken over in 1921 by his son Harry.
A private funeral will be held.
