The first official civic duty of the incoming Skegness Town Mayor and Mayoress Councillor and Mrs Ken Milner was to open the completion of the first phase of the redevelopment of The Grand Parade Complex on the resorts seafront.
The ceremony began at 2pm on May 18th 2007 in Henry’s Wine Bar is the first of the bars and eateries to be completed in the ongoing multimillion-pound refurbishment of the complex.
Henry’s has seen a transformation of the former Beach Bar into a bright cool contemporary chic venue with stylish surroundings with comfy chairs, modern sofas and flat screen televisions, enhanced with ambient lighting creating a sophisticated atmosphere.

Strikes one of the Towns most popular nightclubs has reopened as Da-Ja-Vu having undergone a makeover for the season. The grand scale development planned for the nightclub has been placed on hold until September allowing more time for the extensive major works to be carried.
The second phase, an expansive Caribbean Rooftop Beach Terrace with tonnes of imported Caribbean sand a profusion of swaying palm trees the sights and sounds of azure seas and the sexy beach patrol will be opening in early July.

Bola Managing Director for Paragon (Lincolnshire) Leisure Limited the owners and operators or the complex said “We decided that in the long term redeveloping the complex in phases rather than rushing the entire project through was the way forward. The building is a fantastic place and offers a tremendous opportunity for us to create an outstanding multi venue that will have a huge impact in Skegness”.
