Its devastating to think we wont see his great big happy smile again. He was a true gentleman and a credit to his parents.

We can only hope he rests in peace.

I am Steve Smith. Along with Robert’s younger brother Gary, I am 1 of the 6 members of the Whisky a go go’s pool team that Rob loved playing in. We played every thursday when the pool league started.
Rob was 1 of the best team-mates and friends you could have ever met, and when the 6 of us got together, it was nothing but fun, harmless banter, joking around and laughter. It was never about the pool, just mates having some drinks (too many sometimes!) and a laugh together. We all got on so well it made it the best night of the week and we all looked forward to it coming round. We even had other teams commenting how they liked playing against us however the results went, as we were just up for a laugh and so friendly.
We are a tight group of very close friends with no pecking order and all loved Rob like he was a member of family. His infectious smile was the 1st thing you saw when you met him, and the last thing you’d see as you left. I’ve never even seen him in a bad mood, he was so laid back and easy going. He was such a big guy, it seemed like he was an inch taller every time you saw him and he was pretty imposing looking but he was nothing but a true young gentleman and gentle giant with a great attitude and great character, which is a credit to him and his family, and a rare quality these days in a 23 year old man.
We have lost a best mate and brother and Skegness has lost a true gent and it’s a very big loss. It was a pleasure to have met and gotten to know him well and he’ll be missed forever by us all.
So seeya later Rob, always loved and never forgotten from Smig, Daz, Ady, Ikky and Gary.
