IF a caravan is your sole or main home, you may need to pay Council Tax. That’s the message from East Lindsey District Council, as the Authority begins an awareness campaign aimed at those who think they may be exempt from paying Council Tax.
The District Council carries out regular inspections of properties across the District to ensure the correct levels of Council Tax are being paid, said the Council’s Revenues Service Manager, Sharon Hammond: “Anyone using a caravan as their main home could be issued with a backdated bill,” she warned.
