East Lindsey District Council held its awards ceremony this evening at the Embassy Theatre Skegness.
Employees of the council received congratulations for outstanding efforts, including contributions to the community and long service.
The evening was a great success, with employees being treated to sounds from the Shiny Stockings Orchestra and a special appearance by the singer comedian, Duncan Norvelle.
Skegness’ own mascot, the Jolly Fisherman, delighted everyone with his appearance, especially when Duncan Norvelle said his famous catch phrase ‘Chase me’, and Jolly ‘chased’ him offstage!
Bob Suich, Skegness’ Head of Tourism was presenter for the evening, he himself winning an award.
Awards were presented by the VIPs, including Dr Lawrence Taffinder, Chairman of East Lindsey Council and John Cowpe, editor of the Skegness Standard local newspaper.
The pictures below are captured camcorder frames of the award winners.
